Monday, October 17: Attempted Residential Burglary at the 1000 block of Temperance Lane

The homeowner reported finding a ground floor exterior screen had been pried at its top, he believed the attempt occurred sometime in the past two weeks.

Theft from Vehicle at the 100 block of Gleniffer Hill Road

The complainant reported that approximately two weeks ago both of his vehicles that had been left unlocked while parked in the driveway had been entered by unknown actor(s) who stole a GPS from each of them.  The combined value of the two devices was estimated to be $210.

Criminal Mischief at the 100 block of Gleniffer Hill Road

The complainant reported sometime during the night of Oct. 14 into the morning of Oct. 15, a decorative planter on the property had been spray painted by unknown person(s).  Damage was estimated to be $100.

Theft at 1034 2nd Street Pike – Richboro Pub

The victim reported that sometime between 11 p.m. and 12 a.m. Oct. 14, while at the Richboro Pub, her purse that was hanging on a chair had been stolen.  The purse contained ID, credit cards and about $100 in cash.

Non-Forced Residential Burglary on Dawn Drive

The homeowner reported finding that sometime between 8:45 a.m. and 2 p.m., unknown actor(s) had entered her home via an unsecured ground floor window.  Reported to have been taken was an undetermined amount of jewelry and cash.

Attempted Theft – Shoplifting – at 800 Bustleton Pike – PA Wine and Spirits Store

At 7:03 p.m. a representative of the business reported seeing a subject in the store attempt to secret a bottle of Tequila in the pocket of his sweatshirt.  When confronted by the employee the bottle was recovered after a brief struggle.  The subject, who was described as a white male, about 20 years of age, long dark hair wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, ran from the store.

Warrant Arrest at the 3200 block of Durham Place

At 7:07 p.m. officers received a report that a wanted subject, Eric Szymanski, 40, of Philadelphia, was at a home in the 3200 block of Durham Place.  On arrival they located and took the subject into custody for an active warrant out of the city of Philadelphia.  He was turned over to officers from the Philadelphia Police Department.

 

Tuesday, October 18: Theft from Vehicle on South Traymore Avenue

The victim reported that sometime after 8 p.m. Oct. 15, unknown actor(s) had entered his unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway.  Taken from the vehicle was a GPS unit and approximately $15 in cash.  No value was given for the GPS unit.

Criminal Mischief at the 200 block of Upper Holland Road

A U.S. Postal carrier reported seeing the front glass on a storm door in the 200 block of Upper Holland Road to be shattered. He knew the property owners have been away.

 

Wednesday, October 19: Theft from Vehicle at the 100 block of Mohawk Drive

The complainant reported a family member’s vehicle that was left parked and unlocked in the home's driveway between 12:01 a.m. and 5 a.m. had been entered and gone through by unknown actor(s). Found to have been taken from the vehicle was $20 in cash.

Attempted Theft on Plumly Way

The complainant reported that a family member received a solicitation in the mail to become a “secret shopper." The family member responded and was then forwarded a check for $2,840 and told to deposit it into his account, keep $400 for himself and wire transfer the balance to an address in the Philippines. The family member did not follow through with the process and did not lose any money. This type of solicitation is believed to be a scam; residents are urged to use extreme caution when responding to similar mailings.

Attempted Residential Burglary on Buttonwood Drive

The property owner reported that upon returning from the shore, it was found that the screen on a ground floor window had been cut by unknown person(s).  No entry was made into the home.

 

Thursday, October 20: Theft from Vehicle on West Georgianna Drive

The victim reported that sometime between 10 p.m. Oct. 19 and 5:30 a.m. Oct. 20, his vehicle that had been left unlocked was entered by unknown actor(s) who then took from it an iPod and GPS unit. The value of the stolen items was estimated to be $400.

Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts on Willowgreen Drive

The complainant reported that sometime between 7:30 p.m. Oct. 18 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 19, someone stole the windshield wipers from his vehicle. The wipers were valued at $25.

 

Forced Residential Burglary on Rocking Horse Way

The property owner reported that sometime between 9:30 a.m. Oct. 18 and 12 p.m. Oct. 20, entry to the home had been forced via a ground level window.  Found to have been stolen was an undetermined amount of jewelry.

Theft from Vehicle at the 100 block of Mallard Road

The victim stated that sometime between 2:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. an unknown person(s) entered her locked vehicle that was parked in the driveway and took a canvas bag valued at $100.

DUI on 2nd Street Pike by Bustleton Pike

At 10:09 p.m. a motorist reported following what he believed to be an intoxicated motorist northbound on 2nd Street Pike. Officers were able to catch up to the vehicle and followed it seeing that it was being operated in an erratic manner. Officers stopped the vehicle in the Richboro Shopping Center and identified the operator as, Amanda Moore, 34, of Newtown. Officers' observations of Moore along with her inability to successfully complete a series of field dexterity tests led to her being taken into custody on suspicion of having been driving while under the influence. She was transported to the Saint Mary Medical Center where samples of her blood were obtained for analysis.  She was then taken to the Warminster Township Police Department for processing before being released to a friend at NTPD headquarters. Charges relating to DUI are pending the lab report.
