Police Blotter: NTPD Reports Criminal Mischief, Thefts, Vandalism

The recent Northampton Township Police Department blotter including reports of criminal mischief, thefts and vandalism.

released a recent crime summary for Wednesday, July 12 through Tuesday, July 17, which included several reports of criminal mischief, vandalism, thefts and more.

Theft
25 Upper Holland Road – Free Library of Northampton Township

On Tuesday, July 17 the Library Director reported that sometime between Thursday, July 12 at 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Monday, July 16 someone removed internal components from 12 desktop computers in the computer lab.  Each computer had two internal memory cards valued at $50 a piece, for a total value of approximately $1,200.

Theft
280 Middle Holland Road – Twining Village

On Tuesday, July 17 a representative of Twining Village reported that one of the residents reported two of her gold necklaces missing. The victim reported to the representative the jewelry had been taken from her room sometime overnight. The value of the missing jewelry was not known by the complainant.

163 Railroad Drive – Omni Finishing Systems

A company representative for Omni Finishing Systems reported that sometime on the evening of Tuesday, July 17 a pick-up truck had pulled into their lot where its occupant proceeded to off load trash, bikes, lawn chairs and other items into the company dumpster. The vehicle then sped away before a tag number could be obtained. The complainant estimated it will cost $118 to have the trash removed.

Unit block of Yale Drive

The property owner reported that three times during the past week his mailbox has been damaged when landscaping rocks were thrown at it by an unknown person.

Attempted Residential Burglary
Unit block of Friesland Drive

The homeowner reported that sometime between 10 p.m. on Sunday, July 15 and 8 a.m. on Monday, July 16 an unknown actor had attempted to kick in a basement window on the home located on Friesland Drive. No entry was made to the home.

Unit block of Cedar Drive

A victim reported on Monday, July 16 that sometime overnight a laptop computer was stolen from her unlocked vehicle. The computer had an estimated value of $1,200.

Unit block of Rotterdam Drive, North

On Sunday, July 15 a complainant reported that sometime overnight an unknown actor had broken a street sign post off at its base at the corner of Rotterdam Drive, North and Gelder Drive.

Theft from Vehicle
Unit block of Joshua Drive

A victim reported on Sunday, July 15 that sometime between 10 p.m. on June 30 and midnight on July 1 and unknown actor had entered his unlocked vehicle on Joshua Drive and stole approximately $212 in change that was in a cardboard box.

Criminal Mischief
Unit block of Brookwood Drive

A complainant reported that sometime between 11 p.m. on Friday, July 13 and 7 a.m. on Saturday, July 14 ornamental lights were taken from her lawn and flowers ripped from the garden of her Brookwood Drive home. No dollar value was given for the damage.

Criminal Mischief
Unit block of Paisley Road

On Friday, July 13 a victim reported that sometime between 1:40 and 5:15 the bushes on the front lawn of his home had been run over by an unknown vehicle. No value was given for the damage.

Vandalism
300 block of Stoneyford Road

A homeowner on the 300 block of Stoneyford Road reported on Friday, July 13 that sometime between 7 a.m. 6 p.m. an unknown vandal spray painted patio furniture and other items on his rear deck. No value was given for the damage.

Theft from Vehicle
Unit block of Heather Road

On Wednesday, July 11, the Northampton Township Police Department was advised by Newtown Township police that they had recovered an iPod possibly stolen out of a vehicle in Northampton. Investigation found that the iPod had been stolen out of a vehicle in the unit block of Heather Road sometime after May 6. The iPod had an approximate value of $129.

Unit block of Plumly Way

The Northampton Bucks County Municipal Authority reported on Wednesday, July 11 that their water supply pipes had been compromised by a resident in the unit block of Plumly Way who was then stealing water. Investigation into the theft is ongoing.
