Saturday, May 28: Underage Drinking at Jacksonville Road at Almshouse Road

At 12:28 a.m., while operating an unmarked patrol vehicle, an officer observed a vehicle turning off of Almshouse Road onto Jacksonville Road.  The vehicle's operator hung his head out of the driver’s window and yelled a profanity at the officer.  The operator, who appeared too young to be operating a vehicle at that hour of the day, did not appear to be aware the person he was yelling at was a police officer.  The officer stopped the vehicle on Traymore Avenue and found the operator to be a 17-year-old male from Ivyland, a junior operator.  There was also a 16-year-old male from Newtown in the vehicle.  During the course of the stop, the officer observed a half full bottle alcohol in the passenger compartment of the vehicle.  A small amount of suspected controlled substance was found on the operator’s person.  Investigation into the matter is continuing.

Retail Theft at 1370 Almshouse Road – Farm and Garden Station

At 1:10 p.m. a representative of the business reported a male had loaded a flatbed cart full of mulch and flats of plants into his vehicle and had not paid for the items.  Officers arrived and found the subject in the lot by his vehicle that did not have a registration plate on it.  The subject was identified as Michael Kubler, 45, of Hatboro, who admitted to having taken the more than $170.00 of merchandise.  Kubler was taken into custody and processed at the Warminster Township Police Department then released.  Charges relating to the retail theft will be filed via summons.

The complainant reported finding the rear emblem broken off of his vehicle and a scratch down its passenger side.  No value was given for the damage.

 

Sunday, May 29: Criminal Mischief at 500 block of Bridgetown Pike

The victim reported that sometime between 8:00 p.m. May 28 and 2:00 p.m. May 29, unknown actor(s) had smashed the rear passenger window on his vehicle that was parked in his driveway and damaged a seat in it.  The value of the damage was not known at the time of the report.

 

Monday, May 30: Theft from Vehicle at 300 block of Basswood Circle

The complainant reported having parked his vehicle and leaving it unlocked at about 7:30 p.m. May 29.  At about 1:00 p.m. May 30, he found the interior of the vehicle to have been ransacked.  Found to be missing from the vehicle was approximately $40.

Criminal Mischief at Unit block of Andrea Drive

The property owner reported that sometime between 3:00 p.m. May 28 and 5:00 p.m. May 30, the lock tab on the homes central air conditioning unit's electrical box had been cut.

Residential Burglary at 100 block of Twining Ford Road

The homeowner reported that sometime between May 26 and 30, unknown actor(s) had entered the unlocked home. Found to have been taken was jewelry valued in excess of $50,000, a milk jug containing change and a firearm.

 

Tuesday, May 31: Forced Residential Burglary at 100 block of Barley Road

The complainant reported discovering at about 2:00 a.m. that their home had been forcibly entered sometime between May 27 at 9:00 p.m. and May 30 at 11:59 p.m.  Found to have been taken from the home was jewelry with an undetermined value.

Criminal Mischief at 200 Buck Road – Holland Lawn Mower

A business representative reported finding a hole in the front glass of the store.  It appeared as if the hole had been made with either a BB or ball bearing.  Replacement glass was estimated to cost $600.  The incident occurred sometime between 12:00 a.m. May 28 and 8:00 a.m. May 31.

 

Wednesday, June 1: DUI-Related Traffic Crash at Newtown–Richboro Road by Fir Drive

At 2:13 a.m. officers responded to a one vehicle crash, off of the roadway in the area of Newtown–Richboro Road and Fir Drive.  On arrival they found the operator, Kelly Hartnett, 33, of Horsham, had been traveling westbound on Newtown–Richboro Road when, per her statement, a deer ran into the road causing her to swerve. Hartnett’s vehicle left the south side of the roadway where it rolled onto its roof.  She was able to extricate herself from the car.  The officers' observations of her, along with her inability to successfully complete a series of field dexterity tests led to her being taken into custody on suspicion of having been driving while under the influence.  Harnett was transported to the Saint Mary Medical Center where samples of her blood were obtained for analysis.  She remained at the hospital for the treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.  Charges relating to DUI are pending the lab report.

Theft at 100 block of West Lynford Road

The victim reported that sometime between 4:00 p.m. May 31 and 1:00 a.m. June 1, two white rocking chairs had been stolen from their front porch.  The chairs had an estimated value of $300.

Criminal Mischief at 1600 block of Bridgetown Pike

The complainant reported that someone traveling south on Bridgetown Pike had shot a paintball at his front window shattering it.  Damage was estimated at $300.
