Police Blotter: Feb. 27-28

Police made an arrest and thefts from cars at Council Rock South were reported this week.

Monday, February 27: Arrest

Mark Pruitt, 18, of Holland surrendered at NTPD headquarters to faces charges related to the theft from motor vehicle that had occurred on Feb. 24 at the Taco Bell, 909 2nd Street Pike. Pruitt was charged with theft and receiving stolen property. He was arraigned by District Judge Benz and released after posting 10 percent of $50,000 bail.

The victim, a 17-year-old student at the school, reported that sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. unknown actor(s) had entered her unlocked vehicle that was parked in the school’s lower lot. The actor(s) then stole between $25 and $45 from her wallet that she had left in the vehicle.

School security official reported that on Feb. 24 between 7:20 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. a student had reported to them that his unlocked vehicle had been entered by unknown actor(s) while it was parked in the lower lot. Found to have been taken from the vehicle was a GPS unit, 3 CDs, loose change and a vehicle repair kit. The combined value of the stolen vehicles was estimated to be $128. Police recovered the stolen GPS, along with another suspected one, during the execution of a search warrant at a home in the 3500 block of Coventry Place. Investigation into this matter is continuing. 

Attempted Theft from Motor Vehicle at the 200 block of Holly Hill Road

The complainant reported that sometime over the weekend while he was away, the two vehicles parked in his driveway had been gone through by unknown subjects. Nothing was found to have been taken.

Theft from Vehicle at 2002 Rock Way – Council Rock High School South

While conducting a search of a residential property in the 3500 block of Coventry Place in relation to another incident, investigators found two GPS units and found both had been stolen from separate vehicles parked in the lower lot of the Council Rock High School South on Feb. 24 between 7:20 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. Suspects have been identified in relation to these thefts and the investigation is ongoing.

 

Tuesday, February 28: Theft from Vehicle on Holly Hill Road

The victim reported finding that sometime after 6:30 p.m. Feb. 23, tools had been stolen from his vehicle that was parked in his driveway and left unlocked. Taken was approximately $650 worth of power tools.

Recovered Stolen Property at Police Headquarters

While executing a search warrant on a vehicle impounded as a part of an ongoing criminal matter, investigators recovered a tool bag with its contents valued at $200. They determined the items had been stolen from a vehicle at the Middle Bucks Vo-Tech School sometime in September or October, 2010. The investigation is continuing.
