Thursday, December 8: DUI-Related Traffic Crash at Bustleton Pike and Upper Holland Road

At 2:47 a.m. officers responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash in the intersection of Bustleton Pike and Upper Holland Road. On arrival they found that a vehicle traveling south on Bustleton Pike, being operated by Daniel Campbell, 37, of Holland, had struck the rear of a vehicle that was stopped southbound on Bustleton Pike due to a red traffic signal. There were no injuries as a result of the crash and the vehicle that was struck was able to be driven from the scene.  Officers' observations of Campbell, along with his inability to successfully perform a series of field dexterity tests led to his being taken into custody on suspicion of having been driving while under the influence. He was transported to the Saint Mary Medical Center where samples of his blood were obtained for analysis, after which he was taken to the Warminster Township Police Department for processing. Following processing officers transported the subject home. Charges relating to DUI are pending the lab report.
