Monday, August 29: DUI on Holland Road by Rotterdam Drive West

At 12:52 a.m. officers were alerted to a road rage incident that had occurred at Bristol Road and Old Bristol Road. Both of the involved vehicles were reportedly traveling north on Holland Road. The vehicles were located at Holland Road by Rotterdam Drive West. When one of the vehicles stopped the operator and passenger switched seats.  The officer approached the vehicle and spoke with the female who was then occupying the driver’s seat she claimed to have been the driver and became loud and boisterous while they were attempting to interact with the male. The occupants of the second involved vehicle verified the officer’s observations that the male in the first vehicle had in fact been its operator. The male, identified as Tengiz Mammadov, 23, of Holland, showed signs of having been drinking and was unable to successfully complete a series of field dexterity tests. He was taken into custody and transported to the Saint Mary Medical Center where samples of his blood were obtained for analysis. Mammadov was then processed at the Warminster Township Police Department where it was learned there was an outstanding warrant for him from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).  He was held at NTPD headquarters until ICE could be contacted. At 8:15 a.m. ICE advised that due to new guidelines Mammadov was to be released as they would not be enforcing the warrant. Charges relating to DUI are pending the lab report.
