Police Alert: Burglary Investigation

The NTPD is investigating two burglaries and related suspicious incidents that occurred last week.

The point of entry in both incidents is by force used on a rear first floor door. Both occurred on main roads. Jewelry, electronics and cash were stolen. No physical evidence has been obtained.

Also on March 31, at approximately 1:00 p.m., a suspicious incident occurred on Holland Road in close proximity to both burglaries. This incident, described below, is believed to be connected to the burglaries.

The suspicious incident complainant reports that he heard persistent knocking and door bell ringing at his front door. The complainant eventually went to the door where he encountered a white male, late 30’s, medium height, dark receding hair, wearing blue jeans and a blue jacket. He also noticed a burgundy Cadillac sedan, NFD, backed in to the driveway up close to the garage doors. The unknown male engaged in conversation with the complainant indicating he was looking for work in the construction industry and had heard of a construction site nearby.
