NTPD Reports 5 Thefts from Unlocked Cars in 2 Days

Northampton Township Police Department released a recent blotter that detailed several thefts from unlocked vehicles.

In a recent blotter, police detailed reports of five separate thefts from vehicles that were left unlocked over a two day period of time.

The thefts from the unlocked vehicles were reported on Sunday, Aug. 12 and Monday, Aug. 13, according to the blotter.

The police department would like to remind residents to keep their vehicles locked in order to prevent theft.

Detailed below are the reported thefts:

On Sunday, Aug. 12, a resident who had his car parked on the unit block of Seedling Drive reported that sometime between 10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11 and 8 a.m. on Sunday, someone entered his unlocked vehicle and stole a laptop computer, iPad, two gift cards and an Apple warranty. The items had a combined estimated value of $1,935.

300 block of Holly Hill Road

A resident reported that, sometime between 11 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11 and 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, his unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a home on the 300 block of Holly Hill Road was entered by someone who then stole a GPS navigation device and a multi tool. No value was given for the items.

100 block of Cloverly Drive

A resident reported on Sunday, Aug. 12, that sometime overnight his vehicle that was parked in the driveway of his home on the 100 block of Cloverly Drive had been entered by someone. The car was left unlocked. An undetermined amount of loose change was taken from the vehicle.

On Sunday, Aug. 12, a resident reported that sometime overnight his unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway of his home on the unit block of Drexel Drive had been entered by someone who proceeded to steal a GPS navigation devic

A resident reported on Monday, Aug. 13, that sometime between 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10 and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 12 that someone had entered hus unlocked vehicle, which was parked in the driveway of a home on the unit block of Drexel Drive. An iPad was taken from the vehicle, and the value of the item was not known at the time of the report.
