NTPD Police Blotter: Mar. 23-25

Egg-based and spray-painting vandalism and some thefts are in today's police blotter.

Friday, March 23: No Force Residential Burglary on North Marmic Drive

During the course of an ongoing investigation investigators located jewelry that had been stolen from a home in the unit block of North Marmic Drive sometime in late February of this year. The owners of the jewelry were contacted and made aware of the findings, they stated they noticed some of the items missing but thought they had been lost. The investigation is continuing.

Saturday, March 24: Criminal Mischief at the 100 block of Brookside Drive

The property owner reported that sometime between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. March 23, his mailbox had been spray painted. Damage was estimated to be $50. Officers located road signs and street surfaces that also been tagged in the area.

Criminal Mischief on Brookside Drive

The victim reported that sometime between 4:30 p.m. March 23 and 11:26 a.m. March 24, someone had spray-painted an obscenity on her vehicle that was parked in the street in front of the home. A neighbor’s vehicle that was parked in a driveway had also been spray-painted.

Vandalism on Carriage House Drive

The complainant reported that sometime overnight the front of her home had been egged. There was no permanent damage.

Vandalism on William Way

The complainant reported that sometime between 6:22 p.m. and 6:33 p.m., his vehicle had been egged by unknown actor(s). There was no dollar loss.

Vandalism on Upper Holland Road by Yerkes Drive

The complainant reported that while driving in the area of Upper Holland Road and Yerkes Drive, her vehicle had been egged. There was no permanent damage.

 

Sunday, March 25: Criminal Mischief at the 200 block of Watergate Road

The property owner reported that sometime overnight someone had damaged his mailbox and post. The items had an estimated value of $350.

Theft from Vehicle on Woodenbridge Road

The complainant reported that a family members vehicle that was parked at the home had been entered sometime overnight by unknown actor(s) who stole two iPods and their charging adapters, the combined value of which was estimated to be $360.

Theft from Vehicle on Eagle Mount Drive

The complainant reported the theft of her iPhone from the trunk of her vehicle.  The item was reportedly taken sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., possibly while the vehicle was parked at the home. No value was given for the item.
