NTPD Police Blotter: April 24-30

Tuesday, April 24: Criminal Mischief at 7 Humphrey’s Drive – CMS Mechanical Inc.

A company representative reported that sometime between 6 p.m. April 23 and 10:20 a.m. April 24, someone had forced entry into the rear of one of the company’s trucks that was parked behind the business. Nothing was taken from the vehicle as it was already empty at the time entry was made. Damage to the lock was estimated at $100.

Wednesday, April 25: Theft at the 100 block of Laurel Road

The homeowner reported the theft of $4,600 in cash, $7,000 of jewelry and a watch, along with an undetermined number of savings bonds had been stolen from a safe in the home.

Attempted Retail Theft at 825 2nd Street Pike – Richboro SuperFresh

At 7:46 p.m. a representative of the business reported an attempted retail theft at the store. A white male in his mid 20’s wearing a white t-shirt, along with an Hispanic male, also in his 20’s, wearing a white sweatshirt, attempted to leave the store with 12 containers of baby formula valued at $26 each, $312 in total. When the subjects were confronted by the complainant they fled the area in a silver, two-door, newer model vehicle, possibly an Audi.

Thursday, April 26: Warrant Arrest at the 400 block of Fairhill Drive

An anonymous tip was received that a subject wanted for a parole violation by the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office was in a residence in the 400 block of Fairhill Drive. Officers arrived and located the subject, Michael McGuire, 21, of Churchville, hiding in a crawl space in the home. After a brief struggle McGuire was taken into custody and turned over to deputies.

Disorderly Conduct at 999 2nd Street Pike – Richboro Sunoco

Officers received a report of a subject urinating in the parking lot of the Sunoco at 6:20 p.m. Officers located the subject, who was identified as Erik Keyser, 19, of Warminster. He admitted to the act and was cited for Disorderly Conduct.

Friday, April 27: Theft at 90 Industrial Drive – Finish Tech Corp.

A company representative reported that sometime during the past four weeks unknown actor(s) had stolen a chain saw and gas powered string trimmer from a storage unit located on the property. No value was given for the items.

DUI at Newtown–Richboro Road by Township Road

At 10:52 p.m. an officer on patrol observed a vehicle with a flat tire traveling east on Newtown–Richboro Road. The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as a 17-year-old male from Richboro. The driver admitted having jumped a curb on Whitney Lane that caused the damage to the vehicle. The officer’s observations of the driver, along with the driver’s inability to successfully complete a series of field dexterity tests, led to his being taken into custody on suspicion of having been driving while under the influence. He was transported to the Saint Mary Medical Center where samples of his blood were obtained for chemical analysis. Following the blood draw he was taken to NTPD headquarters and processed before being released to his parent. Charges relating to DUI are pending the lab report.  The 17-year-old female passenger in the vehicle was also found to have been drinking and was cited for the liquor law violation. 

Sunday, April 29: Vandalism at the Bridgestone Drive

The complainant reported that sometime between 11 p.m. April 28 and 3 a.m. April 29, an American flag was removed from his flagpole and dirty underwear were hung in its place. The actor(s) also placed fecal matter on his wife’s vehicle that was parked in the driveway.

Monday, April 30: Theft at 171 Jacksonville Road – Spring Mill Manor

The complainant reported that unknown actor(s) had stolen 17 gift cards valued at $3,000 from a gift “bird cage” that had been set up as a part of a party at the facility on April 28 between 7 p.m. and midnight.
