Wednesday, April 18: Theft at the 4100 block of Potters Place

The victim reported that sometime between Feb. 8 and 12, two diamond rings and a pair of gold earrings had been stolen from his home by a known subject.  The items were found to have been pawned in New Jersey. Investigation is continuing into this incident.

Friday, April 20: Theft at 280 Middle Holland Road – Twining Village

A resident of the complex reported the theft of four pieces of jewelry from her room that occurred sometime after April 2. The value of the items was not known at the time of the report.

Saturday, April 21: Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts at 4 Louise Drive – Martelli’s Metal Fabrication

A representative of the company reported that sometime between midnight and 10:52 a.m. unknown actor(s) had stolen two exhaust pipes from one of the company’s trucks. The pipes were valued at $800 each.

Vehicle Theft at Independence Drive – Tapestry Community Center

The victim reported that sometime between March 31 and April 21, unknown actor(s) stole his Bobcat from the parking lot of the community center. The vehicle had an estimated value of $20,000.

Arson – Bottle Bomb – at 800 Bustleton Pike – Crossroads Shopping Plaza

At 7:23 p.m. patrols and the Northampton Township Fire Company responded to a reported explosion in a trash can at the shopping center. Investigation found that a bottle bomb had been detonated in the can. There were no injuries and no damage.

Sunday, April 22: DUI at Buck Road by Thoroughbred Drive

While on patrol and traveling northbound on Buck Road at 1:38 a.m., an officer saw a vehicle traveling north in the southbound lane of travel by Thoroughbred Drive. The vehicle was stopped and its operator identified as Leonid Degtar, 27, of Feasterville. Officers' observations of Degtar, and his inability to successfully complete a series of field dexterity tests, led to his being taken into custody on suspicion of having been driving while under the influence. He was transported to the Saint Mary Medical Center where samples of his blood were obtained for analysis. Charges relating to DUI are pending the lab report.
