NTPD, Emergency Response Teams to Train at Council Rock South

The Northampton Township Police Department and some emergency response team personnel will run a training session at Council Rock South.

The Northampton Township Police and members of the Bucks County Critical Incidence Response Team will be conducting Rapid Deployment training at Council Rock South from Wednesday, August 8 through Friday, August 10.

From 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. many law enforcement vehicles will be around the CR South, but the police department warns that this is just a test. In order to complete the training in a safe environment, Chief Barry Pilla wants the community to stay off of school grounds during that time.

"Since we are always concerned about safety, the training site is restricted to authorized persons only," Pilla said. "We are asking for your complete cooperation to please stay off the Council Rock South campus during the training sessions."
