Northampton Teen to Serve House Arrest

Some do not agree with the sentence.

Monroe “LJ” Tanner IV, the 18-year-old Northampton Township native who pleaded guilty to causing the high-speed crash that killed his 19-year-old friend on Dec. 8, will be under house arrest for the next nine to 23 months, according to PhillyBurbs.com.
He will also be on probation for five years, it said.
Cameron Smithwick was killed Dec. 8 when Tanner lost control of the car he was driving on Old Jacksonville Road in Ivyland, it said.
The district attorney's office did not agree with the decision, the story said.
