'Highly Intoxicated' Man Found 'Grunting' on Sunbury Court: Police

Northampton Township Police reported the following recent incidents.

The following activity has been reported by Northampton Township Police Department:

A contractor at the Poet's Walk construction site on Thursday reported that sometime between 4:30 p.m. on April 24 and 7:30 a.m. on April 25 someone stole two power saws and a table saw stand from one of the homes under construction. No value was given for the items. 

A Cottonwood Drive resident reported that sometime between 8 p.m. on April 24 and noon on April 25, someone vandalized his car by carved images onto the paint.  A side view mirror on the vehicle was also smashed, police said. Damage was estimated to be in excess of $1,000, police said.

A Doris Avenue resident reported he has an ongoing problem with an unknown person or people damaging his mailbox. Last week, he reported to police that someone had “punched” the mailbox.  No value was given for the recent damage.

Around 11 p.m. Thursday, a Sunbury Court resident called police to report there was a man lying on the ground, "grunting" and apparently intoxicated.  Officers found the man, a 42-year-old Southampton resident, and said he appeared to be "highly intoxicated."  Police contacted a family member of the man, who responded to Sunbury Court and took responsibility for him. The man will be cited for Public Drunkenness.
