DUI Charges Pending for Speeding, Underage Driver with Fake ID
Police pulled over a vehicle for speeding, to find that the driver had a fake ID and was possibly under the influence.
Northampton Township Police stopped a vehicle for speeding on Saturday, Sept. 8, and found that the driver had a fake ID and was possibly under the influence, according to a recent police blotter.
Police stopped a speeding vehicle around 1:30 a.m. on Twining Ford Road by Drexel Drive. While obtaining the driver's license and registration, the officer noticed two other state operator licenses in her possession, one of which was found to be fraudulent.
The officers' observations of the driver—Yana Tsirkel, 20, of Levittown—sparked them to conduct field dexterity tests. Tsirkel was unable to successfully complete the series of tests and was then taken into custody on suspicion of having been driving while under the influence.
