Criminal Mischief, DUI, Burglary Among Police Reports

Police released a recent blotter that details incidents of criminal mischief, burglary, DUI and more.

Reports of criminal mischief, DUI, burglary and vandalism were listed in a recent Northampton Township Police Department blotter from Nov. 13. 

Burglary – Residential - Forced
100 block of Forrest Creek Court

On Nov. 8, the owner of a home on the 100 block of Forrest Creek Court, who had left the home at about 2 p.m., reported being notified by a friend at 2:30 p.m. that people were at her home. Officers arrived at the home and found an unsecured rear door. When the homeowner returned, she found several items including paintings, jewelry and a gold watch to be missing. The value of the stolen items was not known at the time of the report.

DUI
Newtown Richboro Road by East Pickering Bend

At 2:10 a.m. on Nov. 11, an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding on Newtown-Richboro Road by East Pickering Bend. Observations by the officer of the driver—a 24-year-old man from Newtown—led to him being asked to complete a series of field dexterity tests, which he could not do successfully. The man was taken into custody on suspicion of having been driving while under the influence. He was transported to the Saint Mary Medical Center where samples of his blood were obtained for analysis. He was then brought to Northampton Township Police Department headquarters and was processed before being released. Charges relating to DUI are pending the lab report. Criminal Mischief
Unit block of Spruce Drive

On Sunday, Nov. 11 a resident on the unit block of Spruce Drive reported that sometime between 2:30 and 9 a.m., a pumpkin had been thrown at the rear window of his vehicle, which broke the glass. The vehicle was parked in the driveway. No value was given for the damage.

Vandalism
Unit block of Rotterdam Drive East

A resident of the unit block of Rotterdam Drive East reported that sometime between 9 p.m. on Nov. 10 and 7 a.m. on Nov. 12, his mailbox and its post had been pulled from the ground by an unknown actor. There was no permanent damage.

Criminal Mischief
1400 block of Old Jacksonville Road

On Monday, Nov. 12, a property owner on the 1400 block of Old Jacksonville Road reported that sometime between 9:15 p.m. on Nov. 11 and 5:30 a.m. on Monday, their mailbox had been smashed off of its post by an unknown actor.  Damage was estimated at $100.

Criminal Mischief
1300 block of Old Jacksonville Road

A resident of the 1300 block of Old Jacksonville Road reported that sometime between 11 p.m. on Nov. 11 and 8 a.m. on Nov. 12, someone had knocked his mailbox off of its post. Damage was estimated at $25.

Theft
Unit block of East Georgianna Drive

A resident of the unit block of East Georgianna Drive said that several pieces of jewelry had been taken from her bedroom sometime since April. No value was given for the missing pieces of jewelry.
