Coffee With a Cop? Why Not?

Could be interesting, right?

The Northampton Township Police Department is launching its local version of a nationally recognized and program to allow its officers to get out and chat with members of the community.
"Coffee With A Cop" creates an opportunity for informal discussion without agendas or speeches. It's just a time to ask questions ad get to know each other.
"The purpose of the program is for members of the community to informally meet with department representatives at various locations to discuss matters of interest or concern to them," according to the department's page on the Northampton Township website.
The program originally was designed for officers to meet with businesses, but Northampton has expanded the concept to include families, friends and neighbors, it says.
The department is currently scheduling dates, times and locations in August for the meetings.
