Churchville Man Nabbed for DUI Twice in May

Both times the 18-year-old was caught by Hatboro police.

A Churchville man is behind bars after allegedly drinking and driving on two separate occasions this month in Hatboro.

Brian M. Wladyka, 18, of Churchville, was arrested on May 24 at 6:11 p.m. after officers investigated reports of a possible intoxicated driver on Horsham Road. A patrol officer located and stopped the vehicle on North York Road and found it was the same vehicle and operator from an alleged DUI hit and run in Hatboro earlier this month.

Wladyka had also been arrested by Hatboro Police on May 5 shortly after 4 a.m. after he allegedly hit a parked vehicle in the 200 block of Bon Air Avenue and attempted to flee the scene.

In both instances, police said Wladyka failed sobriety testing and was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and related traffic offenses. Because the May 24 DUI arrest was his second in a month and he was also on bail for another matter, he was held for arraignment. Bail was set at $5,000 cash by District Justice John Kessler of Abington. In lieu of bail, Wladyka was released to the custody of the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
