Armed Robbery Sends 25-Year-Old Man to Hospital

Northampton Township Police Department reported to an armed robbery on Saturday, Aug. 18, according to a recent police blotter.

Northampton Township police reported to a strong armed robbery near the water tower on Rock Way on Saturday, Aug. 18, according to a recent police blotter.

Police received the report around 5:17 p.m., and on arrival, officers found a 25-year-old male with head injuries that required his transport to St. Mary Medical Center for treatment.

The victim, who is from Levittown, identified the assailant as Austin Carter, 24, of Morrisville in Falls Township. He said that Carter punched him in the head several times before going through his pockets and stealing $2,100 in cash and a bottle of prescription medication, according to the police report.

Police obtained a warrant for Carter's arrest on charges of robbery, aggravated assault and related offenses. After being informed of the warrant, Falls Township police located Carter at his residents and took him into custody at 9:28 a.m. the next day.

Carter was turned over to the Northampton Township Police Department, processed and arraigned at the NTPD headquarters.

District Judge Kelly remanded Carter to the Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of $150,000 bail.
