At the January 22, 2014 Northampton Supervisors meeting several police officers were honored with special recognition awards. Among the awards and recognition presented were:
Commendation for Valor awarded to Officer Timothy Friel who was wounded during an exchange of gunfire in a 4/13/13 incident.
Commendation for Heroism to Corporal Cully and Officer Laub for a 3/19/13 fire rescue. A Letter of Commendation was also presented to Officer Kenney for this incident.
Commendation for Heroism awarded to Officer Jainnini for removing a motorist from a burning vehicle on 7/7/13. Also, Officer Wyant was issued a Commendatory citation for this incident.
Letters of Commendation were issued to Officers Robertson and Martin for a 6/16/13 fire rescue at a constuction site.
Acting Lt. Steve LeCompte presided and Chief Mike Clark presented the awards.
