Northampton to Honor 5 Patriots with Flag Exchanges June 25th, 7:30PM

The Northampton Township Supervisors will be honoring 5 of its military residents at the June 25th Board of Supervisors public meeting which will take place at the Richboro Middle School located 98 Upper Holland Rd, Richboro.  The meeting was changed from the township building to the school due to the large number of people expected to attend for an update to the Davis Pontiac Plan.

We will be placing an Air Force flag for Senior Airman Anthony Palio of Ivyland who has deployed to Afghanistan.  In addition, we will also be exchanging Military flags for American flags for 4 residents who had returned from their deployments but were never able to come in for their flag exchanges.  We have arranged for their parents to come to the meeting and accept their sons military flag on their behalf.   These 4 are as follows:

1. Navy Corpsman Alex Kozak of Churchville who returned in March from his second deployment in Afghanistan.

2. Army PFC Terrence McGovern of Churchville who returned in March from his second deployment in Afghanistan.

3. Marine Lance Corporal Jonathan Shedd of Churchville who deployed to Iraq back in 2009 and never was able to retrieve his flag.

4. Marine Lance Corporal Neil Crosby of Holland who returned from his deployment in the Middle East back in November.

To date, 80 resident servicemen and servicewomen deployed to war zones since the program began in 2003 have been honored with a personalized flag.  When a resident deploys a military flag is placed in the display and when they return home the military flag is given to them and replaced with a US flag with their name affixed to it.

The photo shows the 4 military flags that will be returned on June 25th.

Hopefully you will be able to come to the ceremony in support of our Patriots.
