Two Patriot Flag Presentations to Take Place Wednesday

Flag presentations for two Northampton Patriots will take place Sept. 19.

This Wednesday, Sept. 19, the Northampton Township Supervisors will have two flag presentations at 7:30 p.m. at the Township building, 55 Township Rd., Richboro.

We will be welcoming home and returning an Army flag for Army Pvt. Terrence McGovern of Churchville who is back from his recent deployment to Afghanistan. We will then be placing a USMC flag in the display for Marine Lance Corporal Drew Sestito of Churchville who deployed to Afghanistan Aug. 20.

Come on out if your schedule permits.

I'm also pleased to report that Marine Lance Corporal Eddie Cotton has returned from Afghanistan to the base in NC Friday night (Sept. 14, 2012). Cotton has a three-day break with his parents Lisa and Ed near Wrightsville Beach, N.C. who will be heading home late Monday or Tuesday as Cotton is due back on base by Monday evening. For now he needs to stay within 75 miles of the base for the next couple of months and may be coming home for a two-week leave in December at which time I expect that the Township will welcome him home and return his USMC flag and replace it with a US flag in the display. Attached is a photo from Friday night of Cotton with his mom and dad Lisa and Ed.
