Northampton Township Memorial Day Ceremony May 27, 2013

Northampton Township held its 2013 Memorial Day Ceremony on May 27th at the Robert H. Dembowski  Veterans Memorial   Park at 9:00a.m. with an audience of
approximately two hundred citizens and veterans.

Pete Palestina was the Master of Ceremonies.  Welcome remarks by Supervisors Chairman Dr. Kimberly Rose and Congressman Michael Fitzpatrick.  Invocation and Benediction was given by Reverend Janice Puliti pastor of St. John’s Methodist Church, Color Guard provided by the Marine Corps League’s Patriot Detachment 1230 and the special keynote address was given by Naval Reserve Officer Lt. David Jacoby.  A special wreath placing ceremony was conducted by George Kelly escorting Gold Star Mothers Francie Dembowski and Janice Elwell to honor their sons memories Army PFC Bobby Dembowski, Jr (KIA May 24, 2007) and Army Master Sgt. Ken Elwell (KIA July 17, 2011).  Kathlyn McCall was the bugler playing Taps and Kathryn Trave sang the National Anthem.
