Lance Corporal Ed Cotton, III Welcomed Home in Northampton

Northampton welcomes home another of its 77 Patriots.

Marine Lance Corporal Ed Cotton, III was welcomed home with a flag exchange at the Northampton Township building on December 19th.  More than 100 family, friends, Marine Corps League members and well wishers gathered for the event.  Cotton's USMC flag was taken from the display and presented to him by Supervisors Chairman Frank Rothermel after he replaced it with an American flag with Cotton's name affixed to it.  Patriots Flag Program coordinator Pete Palestina presided over the ceremony with Rothermel and Supervisors Eileen Silver and George Komelasky.  Joining them at the display were Cotton's mom and dad Lisa and Ed.  Presentations were also made from Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick and PA Representative Scott Petri.  TV station channel 3 and 6 covered the ceremony and the clips were shown on the 11pm news.  Avideo can be viewed at the following link to YouTube
