Sunsational Week Lies Ahead

Arguably the most wonderful time of the year is upon us in the weather world. 

With apologies to Andy Williams, I think September and October are much more "wonderful" since days are still mild, humidity is low, and one can fully enjoy the weather without sweating or freezing. 

This week marks the first of those weeks, thanks to Saturday's front that blew through the region and pushed the tropical humidity out of here. 

The upcoming couple of days will be the coolest we've been since June and for those who hate humidity, feel free to celebrate.

Instead of dew points in the 70's, high temperatures will be in the 70's for both Monday and Tuesday. With dew points much lower, nighttime temperatures will also drop off quite a bit. In the 'burbs, 40's will be in the offing on Monday and Tuesday nights. 

The cool start to the week will modify as high pressure moves off the coast and allows a warming trend for Wednesday through Friday. No 90's on the horizon, but mid-80's certainly are possible by Thursday. However, humidity levels will remain quite modest and should allow for a comfortable (but warm) second half of the week.

There could be a shower or storm for Saturday or Sunday as a front approaches the region from the northwest.  However, as of now this front does not look terribly strong as it approaches the region and should only produce scattered shower or storm activity. 

A more vigorous low looks to develop early next week as the front slips to our south, bringing a more substantial chance of rain to our region at some point next week.
