Dom's Lounge Owner Dies at 60

Vincent "Vinny" Scavo came to America in 1962 looking for "the American dream." Contributions can be made in his memory to CHOP in lieu of flowers.

Vincent “Vinny” Scavo, 60, of Hopewell Township, passed away Tuesday at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.

Born in Carini, Italy, he came to America in 1962 with his family in search of “The American Dream.” The dream came true for him and he continued to follow that dream until his untimely death. He owned and operated Original throughout Bucks and Mercer counties and in Richboro. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Restaurant Association and the Knights of Columbus. 

Son of the late Vito and Rosalia Passalaqua Scavo, he is survived by his wife, Nancy Waslin Scavo; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Rosalia Felicia and Peter Conboy of Yardley, Jessica Scavo and Kevin Treiber of Yardley, Melissa and Jeffrey Tobin of Hudson, NH; a son and daughter-in-law, Vito Michael and Tiffany Scavo of Washington Crossing, four brothers and sisters-in-law, Vito and Rosa Scavo of Italy, Dominick and Lina Scavo of NY, Sal and Angela Scavo of Sommerville, NJ; John and Martha Scavo of Whitehouse Station, NJ; a sister and brother-in-law, Josephine and Frank Mannino of Warrington, PA; eight grandchildren, Jasmine, Shane, Will, Christopher, Hannah, Riley, Sophia and Addison; mother-in-law, Lottie Waslin of Bayville, NJ; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, customers and employees. 

A Catholic Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8 at St. George RC Church, 1370 River Road, Titusville.

Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery, Ringoes, NJ. Friends may call Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington. To send a condolence visit www.wilsonapple.com
