Community Corner

Girl Scout Information Session

Girl Scouts of the Rock United Service Unit, www.rockunitedgs.weebly.com , will be holding an Information and Welcome session on Saturday, September 29 from 3:00-4:30 pm in the Community Room at the Free Library of Northampton Township, 25 Upper Holland Road, Richboro.  Parents of daughters who are interested in becoming Girl Scouts or who would like to find out more about Girl Scouting are welcome and encouraged to stop in for information and registration (annual registration fee is $12/person).  An informative presentation about Girl Scouting will take place from 3-3:15, followed by a brief Q&A and sign-up (there is no obligation by attending).  There will be activities for girls to do, but girls are not required to be in attendance.  Girl Scouts of the United States of America is celebrating its 100-year anniversary in 2012, and its mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.  Girl Scout programs are available for girls in kindergarten through high school.  Adult volunteers are also needed, and are welcome to attend the session on 9/29 to receive additional information.  Questions can be directed to Cindy Cook at 215-968-5397 or thecook4@yahoo.com.
