Yard Waste Collection Begins This Week

Unlimited yard waste will be collected and taken to a composting facility the day after trash collection starting this week.

Yard waste collection for Northampton Township residents starts this week.

Through Dec. 15, unlimited yard waste will be collected for composting the day after trash is picked up.

Residents should use biodegradable, 30-gallon paper bags or trash containers that do not weigh more than 50 pounds when full, according to information from Northampton Township. Yard waste in plastic bag will not be collected.

Tree branches and shrubbery must be no more than 36 inches long and less than three inches in diameter. Braches must be bundled and tied, taped or put in biodegradable bags. Branches or shrubbery cannot extend over the top of the can or bag, according to the township.
