Week in Review: Top Stories from June 11 - 17

: Police stopped a 17-year-old Holland resident for speeding at Middle Holland Road and West Village Road in the Holland section of the township. The officer saw, in plain view, 32 bottles of alcohol including various brands of vodka, rum and tequila.

: The Council Rock South Golden Hawks fell to the La Salle Explorers in the final round of the PIAA State Class AAAA baseball tournament on Friday, June 15, with a final score of 3-1.  Northampton Patch gave play by play updates with the help of user Chris Callahan, who attended the game and sent along details via text.

: Veterans, Boy Scouts and the community gathered at Northampton Township Municipal Park to properly rid of old, tattered flags.

: On Monday, June 11, 496 seniors received their diplomas. According to the Council Rock School District, 93 percent of the graduating class will go on to higher education, with 73 percent attending a four-year college, and about 20 percent attending a two-year college.

: President Obama made a stop in the Philadelphia region this week on the heels of his comment that the "private sector is doing fine." Many asked him to address the comment during his visit to the region.
