Week in Review: Mar. 5 to 12

Here's a roundup of the week's major stories.

  • : Council Rock South came alive Saturday with a wide variety of dance, all the work of student Mikayla Cooper who  organized Dance For A Cure to raise money and awareness for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
  • : Council Rock School District officials say the $27.3 billion budget proposed by Governor Tom Corbett will have local reverberations when it comes to education funding.
  • : Six meetings since 2008, over 18 hours of hearings, thousands of words of often-contentious testimony, immeasurable time spent reviewing documents, and, on Tuesday night, with no clear prospect for a resident-happy ending, Northampton's data-weary planning  commission effectively made a non-decision.
  • : The Red Cross held a blood drive at the Churchville Nature Center recently.
