Township Seeking New Library Director

Northampton Township has placed a public call for new library director to be in charge of the .

The person who fills the position would be repsonsible for managing the library's $1 million annual budget, supervising the staff and collection, planning operations and reporting to the Township Manager, said a statement released by township officials.

With a collection of 118,000 and 13 full-time staff, the library serves its community of roughly 40,000 people. The new director needs a master of library science (MLS) from an ALA-accredited program and at least five years of "progressively responsible library administrative experience," the statement said. 

The job offers an annual salary of $65 to $75,000 and great benefits.
