Thousands Gather to March for Babies

The March of Dimes held its annual 4.5-mile March for Babies Sunday at Tyler State Park.

Thousands of people gathered Sunday to walk for stronger, healthier babies at the annual March For Babies. The 4.5-mile walk began at  and went through . It was organized by the March of Dimes Bucks County Volunteer Committee.

Many of those marching were parents or family members of premature babies.

It was the 42nd year that the March of Dimes has held its nationwide March for Babies. According to the March of Dimes, the event has raised $2 billion for babies since its inception.

Those who walked raised donations for the March of Dimes, which has a mission of preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
