The entire community—children included—are invited to the today from 4 to 7 p.m. at to support the Citizens of Northampton Township Against Cell Towers.
The Citizens of Northampton Township Against Cell Towers (CONTACT) hired an attorney to represent the group in the fight against American Tower Corporation, the company that started installing 25-foot-tall towers throughout Northampton Township. And now the group needs help paying off some of the legal fees its accrued.
Supervisor Eileen Silver suggested at June's Supervisor meeting that the community should attend the event to support the group and its cause.
"Support them. These are the people that are... getting attorneys and are helping us," Silver said.
Live music provided by The Vigilante Cowboys and food and drinks will be available in addition to raffles and prizes. Raffle tickets will be sold for $1 each, 6 for $5 or $10 for an arms length. Check out all of the prizes on the community group's website.
If you didn't purchase tickets in advance, they can be purchased at the door for $30 for adults and $10 for children.
