Holiday Events Permeate the Region

'Twas two weekends before Christmas, and all through the town...

A crisp but sunny December weekend lies ahead. In addition to all the holiday shopping, there are plenty of options for you to get out and enjoy.

WINTER BIRDS
Where/when: , 501 Churchville Lane, Churchville, Saturday, 2 p.m.
Why go: Migration is over and it’s time to enjoy our resident winter bird population. This program will start with a short discussion followed by a visit to the Center’s bird feeding stations. There are over 15 species of birds that commonly visit bird feeders in our area. Come learn more about their ways and habits.
Cost: $2  


Where/when: , 32 N York Rd, Hatboro, Saturday, 5 p.m.
Why go: The event includes a live nativity on the front lawn, photographs with Father Christmas, fun Christmas crafts for kids to make, colonial period music with authentic instruments, Christmas skits, and seasonal refreshments

Where/when: , 300 S York Rd, Hatboro, Saturday, 7:30 p.m.
Why go: "Night of Alleluias” is a worshipful Christmas musical. It is full of Christmas favorites, best-loved praise and worship choruses and a host of incredible new songs. Choirs, band, orchestra, and multimedia set the mood for an entertaining and thought provoking holiday experience for the whole family.
Cost: Free


Where/when: , 333 Centennial Rd, Warminster, Saturday, 9 a.m.
Why go: A morning of food, fun, games, songs, crafts all capped off by a visit with Santa.
Proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association. 
Cost: $4

Where/when: , 599 Newtown Rd, Warminster, Sunday at noon
Why go: The open house will feature open hearth cooking demonstrations as well as story-time and special activities for children, plus interpreters in period costumes conducting tours of the historic building.
Cost: Free


Where/when: , 2350 Bridgetown Pike, Feasterville Trevose, Saturday, 11 a.m.
Why go: Children will walk along trails to find as many candy canes as they can. Children will also enjoy making a holiday craft and decorating holiday cookies. Santa will also make a surprise visit.
Cost: $5

 


Where/when: , 1380 Bristol Rd, Southampton, Saturday, 10 a.m.
Why go: The event will feature toy trail layouts, groups and exhibits, live music, face painting and a visit with Santa. All proceeds will benefit the restoration of the historic Southampton Railroad Station.
Cost: $5
