Five Things You Need to Know

Here's your "five" for June 28, 2011.

  • Re-Use Your Shoes will hold a sorting event at 6 tonight at the Churchville Nature Center. This is the last sorting event for several weeks, and it's LINCS approved so kids and adults are invited to come sort.
  • The one-time event is at the library tomorrow afternoon at 3:30. Bring your preschooler for this great free event.
  • The third and fourth swim lesson sessions for the Council Rock Aquatics Program at Council Rock North still have open spaces. These are both in July and registration will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday next week. Find more information at www.crsd.org/aquatics.
  • Today will bring a chance of afternoon thunderstorms with heavy rain possible and a high of 88, according to the National Weather Service.
  • The "Little Dribbers" and "Players Only" basketball camps start today at Newtown Middle School and Council Rock North, respectively. Sign up through the Northampton Parks and Recreation Department website.
