Five Things You Need to Know

Here's your "five" for Oct. 7, 2011

  • "Discover a new side of Doylestown" at  from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. 
  • The Single Volunteers of Bucks County are adopting a highway this weekend. Help them clean up Woodbourne Road. Wear old clothing and bring your gloves. Meet at the tennis courts across the street from Maple Point Middle School in Core Creek Park at 8 a.m. Sunday.
  • Fire Prevention Week starts Sunday, Oct. 9. Consider or bringing your family to their Open House on Oct. 14.
  • Want a great way to enjoy the weather and great fall foliage? Consider signing up for the Central Bucks Covered Bridges Ride. It's not too late!
  • Looks like the sun will stick around all weekend with temps in the 70s, reaching 80 by Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
