Five Things You Need to Know

Here's your "five" for Friday, March 4, 2011.

  • 76ers fan? There's a game Sunday versus the Golden State Warriors and if you want discounted tickets that will help benefit Senior Adults for Greater Education and your school district, see ordering information here. Tickets are $35.
  • The March Madness Fair is tomorrow from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the school. There will be all sorts of fun activities for kids like moon bounces and a used book sale, in addition to food and face painting. This is a do-not-miss event for you and your family, and the proceeds go to help build a handicapped accessible playground.
  • will host Dance for a Cure today from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Come watch local dance teams perform while helping out a good cause. The event costs $7 and proceeds benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. 
  • Some clouds moving in today and a high of 44, according to the National Weather Service. Chance of rain moving in this weekend a temperatures hovering around the 40s and 50s.
  • New movies opening in the area today include The Adjustment Bureau, Beastly, Rango and Take Me Home Tonight. Remember the Parks and Recreation Department sells discounted tickets at $7.50 per person during the day at the administration building and the Recreation Center.
