Feb. 2: Six More Weeks of "This" Winter?

Here's your "five" for Thursday.

  • Today is Groundhog Day. With the so-called winter we've been having so far, what do you think Punxsutawney Phil's prediction will be? He'll leave his hole at 7:20 a.m. and you can watch this live webcast to find out.
  • With this morning's forecast as cloudy and rain moving in with a high of 49, according to the National Weather Service, it looks like Phil might not have any shadow to see after all.
  • Lane restrictions will continue on Second Street Pike between Almshouse Road and Manor Drive between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The construction is scheduled to last until Feb. 7.
  • The Council Rock Board of School Directors will meet tonight at the Chancellor Center. Tonight's meeting will begin with the Academic Standards Committee at 6:30, the Council Rock North Mastersingers at 7:15, the Act 34 meeting at 7:30 and the regular board meeting at 8.
  • Audio from yesterday's County Commissioners meeting is available now online.
