Closed on Memorial Day

These businesses and services will not be operating on Monday, May 30.

Memorial Day is a day set apart to recognize those who've died in active military service for the United States. Because it's a federal holiday, many businesses, government services and means of travel will be closed or operating on a modified schedule.

Closed government services include:

  • Post offices: No regular mail will be delivered, but Express Mail is delivered 365 days a year.
  • The DMV: PennDOT announced last week that all driver license and photo centers will be closed on Monday in observance of Memorial Day. Some services will still be operating through their website, www.dmv.state.pa.us.
  • Government offices: The Administration Building, library and most other government offices will be closed.
