FARMERS MARKET OPENING DAY

What: Redemption Episcopal Church is hosting a live and silent auction. There will be wine, cheese and desserts as well as door prizes and raffles.

When/where: Saturday at 7 p.m. at The Episcopal Church of the Redemption, 1101 2nd Street Pike

FIRST SATURDAYS

What: Many Newtown Borough stores and restaurants will be hosting sidewalk sales, food tastings, discounts and in-store specials.

When/where: Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on State Street in Newtown

NEWTOWN WELCOME DAY

What: Welcome Day, Newtown's annual street fair, will feature giveaways, food, entertainment, kids activities and more.

When/where: Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sycamore Street in Newtown

DOG WALK AND FAMILY FAIR

What: Nor’Wester Readers, a canine assisted learning program that works in area school districts including Council Rock, is hosting its annual family dog walk.

When/where: Sunday at Tyler State Park.

Cost: All walkers are welcomed, with or without a dog. The cost to participate is $15 per person, $25 for a parent and child and $50 for a family. Participants should enter the park by the Arts Center. Click here to view the event website.
