Gas Prices Down 3.5 Cents

Find the cheapest gas in Northampton Township.

The average price of self-serve regular in Pennsylvania dropped nearly 10 cents in a month, and about 4 cents since last week, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report.

In the Bucks and Montgomery Counties, the average price of a gallon is $3.601, which is 3.5 cents lower than a week ago, 9.7 cents lower than a month ago and 24.7 cents higher than a year ago.

While national retail gas prices have declined each day during the past week, crude oil prices have increased slightly, as market attention has focused on the impact of the looming U.S. fiscal cliff, the report states. That means though gas prices usually decline this time of year, the economic uncertainty has slowed that decline.
