AAA: Gas Prices to Decline After Labor Day

Find the cheapest gas in the Northampton Township area.

The week-over-week, month-over-month and year-over-year price increases for gasoline are expected to reverse themselves following Labor Day, when summer vacations end and school begins, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report.

In the Bucks and Montgomery area, gas went up 1.9 cents since last week and about 17.9 cents since last month. That works out to 13.8 cents higher than last year at this time.

Locally, the cheapest price for regular is $3.58 at the Prophete Brothers Liberty gas station at 4421 Brownsville Rd. in Feasterville Trevose, followed by $3.68 at the Southampton Hess at 724 Street Rd.

If you spotted a better price, tell us in comments.

The picture shown is NOT the way to pump fuel safely! Never leave the pump unattended. Also, I believe gas stations are suppose to disengage (remove) the auto-lock feature on the handles of the gas pumps. Township officials--correct me if I am mistaken on that.
