Live music at your wedding reception?

Over the past two years we've gotten an increased number of inquiries for our party band and other live music options. Nothing compares to the energy of a professional live band.

Over the past two years we've gotten an increased number of inquiries for our party band and other live music options. Nothing compares to the energy of a professional live band.

We've found many couples are interested in exploring bands but maybe don't want to give up a great DJ. Or perhaps maybe the groom is into exploring bands but the bride isn't or vice versa. Is this the case for you? No problem. We offer live band and DJ combinations! It's a best of both worlds package. Our DJ's will spin during cocktail, dinner service, handle the announcements, traditions ect. but once the partying starts the band and DJ split 45 minute sets ensuring an ultra high energy non-stop dance party!

Performance: Ask the band questions about stylistically how they approach their performances. Make sure their vibe matches your and your guest’s style and song preferences. Ask the band if they take requests. Can you pre-determine a play list. Will they learn special requests beforehand. What is their stage presence like? Did you have an opportunity to see them live?

Professionalism: The band should have their musicians contracted and a stable lineup. This maintains consistency and cohesiveness of the group ensuring that what your sold is what you get.

Production: The most overlooked item. Make absolutely sure that your entertainment is bringing a full-range professional PA system. Also, make sure they have appropriate stage and effect lighting, as this really adds to the atmosphere! DJ's almost always come with some lighting. Ask the band your checking out what lighting they bring to your reception. If they don't do lighting, you can always augment them with a professional lighting company likeOmnivent, inc.
