Help Create History with the Library Mosaic

The library is working on new some art – and they want the community's help.

The Free Library of Northampton, in coordination with Artists in Residence (AIR), will be constructing a mosaic in the children's section of the building. 

What makes it unique is community members can purchase their own tiles and come in to decorate them during workshops with AIR artists. 

The three-hour workshops will allow those who sign up to create clay tiles that will later be glazed and fired. Artists will be on hand to help with decorating. 

There's also the option to have a tile dedicated in the name of someone else. Call (215) 357-3050 for more information.

There are two tile-making times scheduled: Mar. 7 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Mar. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
