SHADY BROOK CARNIVAL

What: The annual carnival to benefit the Christine McCaffrey Community Emergency Fund

When/where: Friday 6 to 10 p.m., Saturday 3 to 10 p.m., Sunday 1 to 5 p.m. at Shady Brook Farm, 931 Stony Hill Rd, Yardley

Cost: Rides vary

RUN FOR BABIES

What: Council Rock's annual 5K Run for Babies will also honor victims of Monday's bombing at the Boston Marathon. The event will feature a 5K, one-mile run and Zumbathon.

When/where: Saturday at 9 a.m. at Council Rock High School South

Cost: $25 for the 5K and $10 for the Zumbathon. Click here to register for the event.

SPRING FLING SHOPPING EVENT

What: More than 50 vendors will be selling a variety of items, including handcrafted jewelry, scarves, purses, home decor and more.

When/where: Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Northampton Township Senior Center

Cost: Entry is free; items vary

RECORD STORE DAY

What: Record Store Day is being celebrated at Newtown Book & Record Exchange. The shop will host live music by local artists.

When/where: Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Newtown Book & Record Exchange

TYLER GARDENS LECTURE

What: The Sixth Annual Tyler Gardens and Landscape Lecture will feature guest speaker Drew Becher, the president of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.

When/where: Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Bucks County Community College's Newtown Campus.

Cost: Tickets are $15 for the public and $7 for students; all proceeds benefit the Tyler Gardens Fund.

SESAME PLACE OPENING

What: Sesame Place will mark the opening of the 2013 season with a member preview day

When/where: Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m at Sesame Place in Langhorne

Cost: For season pass holders only

SPRING COCKTAIL PARTY

What: Newtown Historic Association's Spring Cocktail Party 

When/where: Saturday at 5 p.m. at the historic Half Moon Inn (Court Inn), Centre Avenue and Court Street in Newtown.
