Despite a winter weather advisory, trick-or-treating will go on tonight.
Trick-or-treaters may knock on your door this evening, as part of the rescheduled Halloween activity. Northampton Township postponed Halloween activities that were scheduled for Oct. 31 because of power outages and unsafe conditions throughout the community caused by Hurricane Sandy.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather and wind advisory, that could cause more power outages, and possibly 2 to 5 inches of snow accumulation. But neither the township or parks and recreation department have suggested skipping trick-or-treating tonight.
Township Manager Robert Pellegrino just asks parents and children to "use their best judgement" before heading out.
Are you planning on trick-or-treating tonight? Tell us in the comments.
I think that no matter what the decision was, some residents would be unhappy. For example, people were annoyed that the township didn't want to get involved (even though the twp doesn't plan the community's trick-or-treating events). Some were mad that it was postponed at all. Then you had the people who were upset with it being scheduled for Saturday and then for tonight. It's pretty difficult to make everyone happy, don't you think?
