Public Meeting Scheduled for ATC Concerns

The meeting will be held Tuesday night, May 15.

The fight against the American Tower Corporation's distributed antenna system (DAS) towers isn't over yet, and a special meeting will be held early next week for the community to discuss the issue further.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at .

It was originally scheduled for the Administration Building, but as support and interest grew so did the need to accommodate a larger crowd. The first meeting, , had to be moved outside for the same reason as more people arrived.

Many residents are constructing steel poles in their yards and neighborhoods that were, until now, void of any aboveground poles. 

Michelle Held, who created the group's Facebook page, has kept residents abreast of all the updates and is continually encouraging them to join the fight.

One of the ways to do so, she suggested, is by filing a complaint with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission by calling 1-800-692-7380 or filling out an online form.

Residents have also been taking turns standing outside soliciting signatures on petitions against the company and plan to be there during the weekend, too.

The meeting is open to the public.
