Police to Increase Speed Enforcement Throughout Township

To keep school zones safe for students, NTPD will increase speed limit enforcement.

Now that school is back in session the Northampton Township Police Department will increase monitoring speed limits in school zones and other areas throughout the township.

"This action is to remind motorists that school is open and our children are out and about getting to school," Chief of Police Barry Pilla said.

Additionally, residents have requested that motorists slow down along specific roads, which is another reason for this effort. Pilla added that there are no good excuses for risking your own life or another person's life by speeding.
