A missing monkey who escaped an exotic animal rescue in Southern Pennsylvania has been found, according to reports.
The monkey, named Bug, was found Monday evening at a home in Fairfield, which is near Gettysburg. According to the shelter's Facebook page, a resident found the monkey on their back porch eating cat food and a lemon.
The capuchin monkey escaped after a fire destroyed the East Coast Exotic Animal Rescue in Adams County early Saturday. According to the shelter’s Facebook page, he ran into the woods after the fire because he was scared of the commotion.
“I can not express enough how happy we are,” the shelter announced on Facebook. “Everything now is going to be okay!”
