Lenape Indian Village Festival

This past weekend the Lenape Indian Village See-Kaw-Ning Festival was at the Churchville Nature Center.

This past weekend the Lenape Indian Village See-Kaw-Ning Festival took place at the . This festival marks the opening of the Lenape Indian Village for 2011. The Churchville Nature Center gives tours of the Lenape Indian Village complete with Churchville Nature Center staff in Indian dress teaching the ways of Lenape Indian life hundreds of years ago.

Jim Alt Two Bears was at the Nature Center with his Tee-Pee store selling Indian blankets, clothes and other items.

Frank Little Bear of  Cree Nation Heritage was also there. Frank is a Native American lecturer, musician and performing artist. Frank is dedicated to teaching audiences on the diverse social, traditional and contemporary life style of indiginous people both past and present. Frank played Native American Flute Music and talked with visitors to the festival.
